Simon will cover the basics, from What is a Cleanroom? and What is a HEPA filter? through to air filtration principles and testing of air filters.  If you use or are responsible for the maintenance or operation of a cleanroom and are confused by all of the various world standards, cleanroom classifications and various terms used, then this presentation may assist you.  This lecture will be presented by Simon Doyle of Peregrine Industries who is the only Certified Air Filtration Specialist in Australia and whose company is the only registered NAFA member Australia.

SIA - The Safety Institute of Australia is the professional body for safety professionals and practitioners. The Institute began in 1949 when the first group of students in the Industrial Safety and Accident Prevention course at Melbourne Technical College formed the Industrial Safety Research Group. Within 15 years, a Division had been formed in each State.

In 1954, the name was changed to Safety Engineering Society and in 1977; the Society became the Safety Institute of Australia, Inc.

Over nearly half a century, the Institute has grown from a few students to a national professional body with over 3,500 members.
