DESCRIPTION

The Filtrair PML-F7 Pocket air filter is designed for use as a super fine air filter unit for general ventilation and air conditioning equipment installed in commercial buildings as well as for handling installations that pose stringent requirements to withstand extremely high pressure loads and micro-fine dust concentrations, and where very high cleanliness is to be ensured. Filtrair's PML-F7 has been specifically developed for use as final air filtration for gas turbines, but also ideally suited for hospitals, food processing plants, pharmaceutical plants, computer and telecommunications rooms and other HVAC systems.

CONSTRUCTION

The media used in the PML-F7 is a synthetic fibre-based pocket filter developed and manufactured at Filtrair's own high-tech media plant in The Netherlands. The filter medium is constructed from selected high performance fibres in a progressive density multi-layering technique to ensure high-depth dust loading, with optimal low pressure drop performance. The PML-F7 media combines three sequentially progressive density layers; a highly efficient micro fibre fleece with a pre-filter and a supporting synthetic media layer. This results in a low pressure drop during the life of the filter, as well as high initial and average efficiency right from day one. This is combined with long filter life, and extreme durability and therefore, low energy and maintenance costs.

The PML-F7 is a 100% synthetic, corrosion-free air filter product that resists high humidity, mists and chemicals. It conforms to all European Union and U.S. fire classifications (e.g. DIN 53438-F1 and UL 900 - 2). The pocket medium is inherently rigid, with a welded rib construction to from a pocket with the highest possible functional security in even the most brutal air-pressure and dust-laden environments. The leak-free construction, the incorporated aerodynamic spacers and the embedded medium in a form-stable reinforced plastic front header frame guarantees the highest performance in most environments. Constant quality is ensured by independent quality control according to EN-779 and the individual DIN control registration number, which is imprinted on each unit.

APPLICATIONS

Filtrair's PML-F7 pocket air filters are uniquely suited for effective separation of aggressive and abrasive particles, combating equipment erosion and enhancing functional efficiency. Also in extreme weather and environmentally adverse conditions such as off-shore high volume intake systems. The PML-F7 is ideal for situations where continuous low pressure drop and continuous high efficiency is a must.

The PML-F7 is most often installed in air handling units for:

  • gas turbines in electricity generating plants
  • Utility and co-generating plants
  • off-shore oil and gas exploration platforms
  • spray painting plants and surface finishing applications
  • pharmaceutical and food processing plants
  • computer rooms, telecommunications, optical and electronic facilities
  • HVAC systems installed in laboratories, libraries, museums, airport terminals, medical and clean room facilities
  • compressor plants

PML-F7 pocket air filters can be used in most standard built-up filter banks, or side–access filter housing systems.
